Fly Fishing or light tackle fishing, Cozumel is a great option if you are staying in Playa del Carmen.

Simply cross over on the ferry and hop in a quick 5 to 10 minuite cab ride to the marina where your guide will be waiting for you.

The Island offers fly fishing anglers excellent bonefishing with Permit, Tarpon, and Snook as well for some Grand Slam opportunities in the three lagoons at the northern end, Rio de la Plata, Montecristo, and Paso Balem.

On your Cozumel Fly Fishing Charter you will be guided on a classic Mexican Panga skiff with your experienced guide with over 10 years experience.

Your day will be spent fishing a beautiful estuary on the boat as well as lots of wading opportunities so some flats boots will be needed.

Our Light Tackle & Fly Fishing Charters depart from the northern end of the island. Departure time is dependant on what time of year it is as well as if you're staying in Playa or on Cozumel. Exact departure time will be confirmed upon booking.

Transportation to the Marina. If staying in Playa del Carmen you will ferry over and take a short cab ride a mile up the road to the docks. If staying on Cozumel you'll taxi to the marina which is located just north of downtown.

100% refund for charters cancelled due to weather! If a charter is cancelled due to weather, you'll have the choice to reschedule or get a refund.
100% refund for cancellations made at least 24hrs before the date of the charter! (10% cancellation fee may apply)
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the charter or no shows will forfeit their deposit with the possibility to reschedule the charter for another day based on availability.

How do logistics work if I am staying in Playa del Carmen? +

If you are staying in Playa del Carmen, simply cross over to the island on the passenger ferry. From the Cozumel ferry pier, take a quick 5 to 10-minute taxi ride a mile up the road to the marina, where your local guide will be waiting for you at the docks.

Where on Cozumel does the fishing take place, and what can we catch? +

Charters depart from the northern end of the island to fish a beautiful estuary system. We target three specific lagoons: Rio de la Plata, Montecristo, and Paso Balem. These waters offer excellent bonefishing along with Permit, Tarpon, and Snook for Grand Slam opportunities.

What type of boat is used, and do I need wading boots? +

You will be guided on a classic Mexican Panga skiff. Because your day will be split between fishing from the boat and plenty of flat wading opportunities in the estuary lagoons, you will need to bring flats boots.

What is included in the Cozumel charter price, and are there extra person fees? +

Charter rates include an experienced guide with over 10 years of experience, all fishing gear (fly & light tackle), lures, flies, terminal tackle, and soft drinks or purified water. A box lunch is included on 6-hour and 8-hour trips. Prices are per boat for a maximum of 2 anglers, with a $50.00 USD additional fee for a 3rd person.

How are deposits and balance payments handled for this trip? +

This trip is booked with a 20% online deposit hold ($70 for 4hr, $85 for 6hr, or $100 for 8hr). The remaining balance is strictly due in CASH ONLY on the day of your scheduled charter.
