Ascension Bay is located south of Playa del Carmen and Tulum and is a world famous bonefish destination. With no back country in Playa del Carmen this is the option you'll have to the south and maybe a little more convenient than the other options as this trip would include all transportation.

Fly Fishing the Cancun Lagoon From Playa del Carmen

Right in the Cancun Hotel Zone is Laguna Nichupte, a lagoon with Tarpon and Snook as well as some occasional Bonefish and Permit. This trip is a great option if you do not have time for a full day trip or have young kids with you. This trip is available for 4hr, 6hr, and 8hr trips.
